2018 was my first full year as your Regional Executive Vice President and it was a busy one, not just for me but for all PSAC members. We should all be proud of the work we have done together.
I want to thank and acknowledge all the PSAC members across the province who took action in the workplace at a Phoenix event or in support of bargaining, signed a petition or emailed an MP, volunteered at an outreach event in the community or on one of our campaigns, participated in an Area Council or Regional Committee, took union training, served as a Steward, Health and Safety Representative or Local Executive member, or helped build our union in one of many, many, other ways.
Your work makes our union strong, our workplaces and communities better - thank you!
Looking forward to 2019, my door is always open, and my phone is almost always on. I look forward to continuing to meet, talk to and work with members throughout BC as we keep the pressure on the employer to pay federal government workers correctly and on time, push back against privatization and contracting out, improve our collective agreements and our working lives, and make our province and our communities better places to live.?
On behalf of all the staff in the PSAC BC Region, I wish you and your family all the best in this holiday season and a healthy and happy New Year.
PSAC Regional Executive Vice-President, BC
